SANDRA GALLO
Born in Chili, lives and works many years in The Netherlands.More than 17 years Sandra Gallo designs her own projects as well as carrying them out on commission.
The first few years under the name of 'Gallo design' and more recently A4studio.
On commission she has been working on behalf of many private individuals and organizations such as Unilever, Novib and Poetry International, etc.

ABOUT THE PHOTO-WORK OF SANDRA GALLO
On carefully observing her photography one is touched by the natural way of personating her figures.Warmly involved in the portraying of people she comes across as if we meet dearly beloved friends.
Whilst handling her camera nothing escapes her spying eye. For instance; it is useless to point out a certain situation to her: "I have already seen it" is her reaction, whereupon one is slightly ashamed of even having tried to interfere.
It is mostly ordinary people in front of her lens- young and old.
Very rarely objects, landscapes etc will be in her scene.
In spite of being an absolute teetotaller she dares to enter obscure and smoky pubs; in there might be the most interesting pictures to shoot; musicians with weather - beaten faces, corpulent ladies, her strong point is the confrontation with children from all over the world.
A delicate photographer, a super craftswoman.
Striking to me are her reportages as weddings, birthday parties, jubilees etc.
On several occasions happened to witness some of these reportages and I was perplexed by the easy and original way she did the job.
Summarizing I can only say terrific...
